Faith, Kaitlyn and Kristen to Compete in 2009 Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas Pageants
The 2009 Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas Pageants, will be held at Texas Hall on the campus of the University of Texas Arlington. Preliminary competitions will be held June 29 - July 1 with the pageant finals held on July 3, 2009.

37 contestants from around the state will compete for the title of Miss Texas 2009 and 34 will compete for the title of Miss Teen Texas 2009. The contestants will compete in 5 areas of competition: private interview, physical fitness, talent, evening wear, and on-stage question.

Faith competes in private interview and on-stage question on Monday (June 29), physical fitness and evening wear on Tuesday (June 30), and talent on Wednesday (July 1).

Kaitlyn competes in private interview, evening wear, and on-stage question on Monday (June 29), physical fitness on Tuesday (June 30), and talent on Wednesday (July 1).

Kristen competes in private interview on Sunday (June 28), physical fitness and evening wear on Monday (June 29), talent on Tuesday (June 30), and on-stage question on Wednesday (July 1).

The Miss Texas Organization provides a statewide forum for today's young women to express their viewpoints, talents and accomplishments during the pageant and at large during the ensuing year. Hundreds of young women participate each year for local titles, culminating in the selection of Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas.

The Miss Fort Worth and Miss North Texas Pageants—official preliminaries to Miss Texas and Miss America—provide young women between the ages of 18-24 the opportunity to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community while earning valuable scholarships. The Miss America Organization is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation's leading achievement programs. Contestants compete in interview, talent, evening wear, on-stage question, and physical fitness in swimwear.

The Miss Teen Fort Worth Pageant—an official preliminary to Miss Teen Texas and Miss America's Outstanding Teen—provides young women between the ages of 13-17 the opportunity to promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens. Contestants complete in interview, talent, evening wear, on-stage question, and physical fitness in aerobic wear.
