Kids in the Kitchen
Faith
participated in the
Fort Worth Junior League's Kids in
the Kitchen.
During the event, there were five primary activity stations: fat station
where participants learned about the amount of fat in various foods; trail
mix station where kids learned how to make healthy snacks; portion size
station where the kids learned about portion sizing; apron decoration
station where parents helped children decorate aprons to wear in the
kitchen; and germ station where participants learned proper hygiene for the
kitchen. The event was held
April 2, 2009 at the United Community Center’s
Wesley Center in Fort Worth.
