Fort Worth pageant.
Competition for Miss Fort Worth 2010 and Miss Teen Fort Worth 2009 was held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas. At the conclusion of the pageant, Ashley Melnick was selected from six competitors as Miss Fort Worth 2010 and Rachel Callicutt was selected from five competitors as Miss Teen Fort Worth 2010. Both winners will represent Fort Worth at the state competitions in Arlington in July.
Ashley attends Texas Christian University. Her platform is The Voice of Autism. She sang I Surrender and was both the Physical Fitness in Swim Wear and Talent winner. Rachel attends Joshua High School. Her platform is Promoting Respect Towards Those Living With Disabilities. She performed Swallow Tail Jig on the fiddle and the Physical Fitness in Aerobic Wear winner.
1st Runner-up to Miss Fort Worth was Christie Kibler. 2nd Runner-up was Keene Nordin. 3rd Runner-up was Jordan Roberts. Also competing in the Miss competition were Julie Lightfoot and Katie Herring. 1st Runner-up to Miss Teen Fort Worth was Nicholle Larson. 2nd Runner-up was Kendal Robbins. Also competing in the teen competition were Liz Pospisil who was the Talent winner, and Brittany Tew.
